Etymology edit

Does anyone know where the name Kurnell comes from? Is it Aboriginal or does it relate to corn? 1.158.108.17 (talk) 09:42, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Possibly "Origin of Name - It is widely accepted that the Gweagal Aboriginal group, part of the larger Dharawal group, called the peninsula "Cunnel" which was Anglicised to become Kurnell. [1]Fleet Lists (talk) 09:54, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Changes edit

I think the changes that I have made to the article improves the overall look and layout. A lot of the images that were in the article before hand were all of the same thing taken from different angles, like the sandstone cliff pictures. enough saidPoorPhotoremovalist (talk) 08:01, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

There are two images in this article of the same thing. I don't see the point of having both of them in here PoorPhotoremovalist (talk) 08:00, 15 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Below are the 2 images I have mentioned. They are both of the same monument so I have removed one of them from the article. I believe that now there is a commons link to where readers can go to view pictures like this PoorPhotoremovalist (talk) 08:17, 15 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Note below the three pictures that were previously in this article. They are all fairly decent images but all look quite the same. I believe that there would be, in this article a need for only one of them, whilst the others can be found in the commons link. PoorPhotoremovalist (talk) 08:19, 15 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

16 December 2015 storm edit

A few sources related to the storm today which seems to have cause substantial damage in Kurnell (and elsewhere):
