Rename? edit

Isn't it nonstandard style to use the definite pronoun there? History of Korean Americans in Los Angeles seems better. AllenY99 (talk) 07:25, 19 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

I made the fix. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 01:33, 6 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Population edit

We have two different population figures, which should be explained. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 01:48, 6 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Lead is too short edit

We need to bring some important facts about this population up to the top of the story. See WP:Lead. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 02:27, 27 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

It's an article about history, so the lead should reflect that. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 02:29, 27 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Article name edit

@BeenAroundAWhile:

Hi! I rettitled since the references focus specifically on the Los Angeles area. Could be retitled *if* the balance of sources focus on Southern California (as in Los Angeles and San Diego) as a whole. If the balanace of references focus on the Los Angeles and San Diego areas separately they should have separate articles. I am aware that technically Riverside + San Bernardino are classified by the OMB as Inland Empire, but those IE places mentioned are de facto suburbs of Los Angeles.

Also note that "ethnic group of XX city" often includes suburban areas, and the "Greater" is just assumed. You could ask a man and he may say "I'm from Dallas" but press him further and he's actually from Plano or Allen or Flower Mound. It's very common for the city name to be a stand-in for the whole metro and I'm ok with that so long as it's not on "hard" geographical terms (as in when talking about the location of an actual place, the actual municipality or unincorporated area should be specified)
