Is this a defunct organization? The entry's first sentance uses the past tense (saying it used to exist). But the second sentance says it has a current chairperson. The Video game controversy template says this organization doesn't exist. So what is right? Is this thing around or not?--Fantastic fred (talk) 20:42, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Television

edit

It seems the Korea Communications Standards Commission handles the television ratings. --Christian140 (talk) 18:08, 15 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Scandal brewing up.

edit

Apparently in 2023, a number of people petitioned for an audit into the Korean Media Rating Board, leading to a government inspection. It was reported the petitioners were players of Blue Archive, that protested against the game becoming rated as 18+, then it was reported that Nexon (Blue Archive’s creators) were pressured to censor their content. And then it was further reported that the media board was engaging in embezzlement of taxpayer money; said agency was shut down because of their actions. I have very limited sources and could not get into South Korean news, so I can not update this article. Can somebody update this article to include the reports.
