The history of the square is wrong and of course is unsourced. In particular, the little column after which the area was named, was not located in the square. It was actually near Dexameni, with photographs showing that, and was relocated to Kolonaki Square around 1935. See https://www.flickr.com/photos/athens_greece/15877410495
