Country of birth edit

Shouldn't it be written as Ivory Coast? After all, we don't write José Bloggs (born in Barcelona, Espana). - Dudesleeper · Talk 00:28, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Removal of Sentance edit

The last line in the first paragraph it seems is opionionated. It reads

Kolo supported West Bromwich Albion as a child, his favourite player is Matthew Kiteley, and he hates the albion fan lee richards

There's no citing to him ' hating Lee Richards ' and the sort of player and person he is, being a devoute muslim, I doubt he will openly express such hatred. Either this is some sort of vandilism, or completly untrue.

I suggest removing the line in regards to lee richards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.136.80.173 (talk) 08:38, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

International goals edit

Should be added his second goal for Ivory Coast National team, the template shows just one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.97.102.198 (talk) 00:38, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Which is his second goal? I cant find it... Luka666 04:43, 19 June 2009 (GMT+1)

Name edit

On official ivory coast site his name is written as Kolo Abib Toure. For or against? Luka666 04:43, 19 June 2009 (GMT+1)

You've got a point there. I remember when he first signed for Arsenal he used that as his full name. Twsf (talk) 15:59, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Kolo Toure and malaria edit

The Racing Post Aug 30th 2009, p.111, offers the opinion:

"Kolo Toure, who used to be among the best centre-halves in the Premier League, hasn't been anything like the same player since contracting malaria at the African Nations Cup in 2008."

I have no way of knowing if this is based on truth or is just speculation, but it would be interesting if there was a post from someone better-qualified.81.156.49.170 (talk) 11:18, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Positive Drugs Tests edit

With so much news about him failing the drug test, I am very surprised that there is nothing about it here. This can be confirmed at: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-city/8360368/Kolo-Toures-positive-drugs-test-leaves-Manchester-City-captain-facing-fight-to-prove-his-innocence.html 175.138.251.156 (talk) 11:06, 4 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Semi-protected edit request on 30 November 2014 edit

kolo toure has made 2 appearances in europe compititions and not 1

122.172.35.220 (talk) 11:23, 30 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Can you please tell us what that other appearance is (and please provide a source)? Thanks, Stickee (talk) 11:25, 30 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Consistency of height data edit

Kolo Toure's height is listed as 1.78m by Liverpool FC. I propose switching the display to metres first for the following reasons:

  • It would then be consistent with the usage of Liverpool FC.
  • It would then be consistent with the overwhelming majority of Liverpool FC player profiles. (All but one of the rest are metric first.)
  • It would then be consistent with Ivory Coast usage. (Kolo is Ivorian.)

Please indicate if you agree with this change. Michael Glass (talk) 01:38, 8 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

I concur with listing Touré's height in metric first. I concur not because that is what Liverpool provides, but because Touré is Ivorian, therefore his personal article is not germaine to the UK. — Jkudlick tcs 02:38, 18 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

LFC Goal edit

He scored a goal today and I was going to add it but I can't because the page is protected, can someone do it? It was a header. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.152.17.55 (talk) 22:53, 14 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Personal life edit

This is not an appropriate story for the personal life section, as it only gives one person's side of the story, that she "alleges" that Touré had an affair with her. The origin of this story comes from the Sunday Mirror, a tabloid. This story is inappropriate per WP:BLP as it hasn't been proven, and per WP:RS due to the weak sourcing. 2A00:23C5:E187:5F00:C08C:CA73:4149:D3AA (talk) 15:08, 1 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
