New binomial name pending ? edit
This article should be moved to the binomial name of the species. However, it appears that the binomial name may possibly be changed to: Didymocheton spectabilis. Here is a recent reference about the taxonomy: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/tax.12591. The binomial name has not yet been changed in the International Plant Names Index. Perhaps we should wait and see, before moving the page ?Marshelec (talk) 07:13, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
- Second thoughts. The tree is commonly known as kohekohe, so perhaps the article name should be left as-is, and we can wait for the binomial name change to be confirmd or otherwise. Marshelec (talk) 06:02, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Marshelec POWO has now applied the names as per the paper mentioned above. I agree that this article should be moved to Didymocheton spectabilis as per the naming convention is set out at WP:NCFLORA. Junglenut |Talk 08:13, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
