Restored missing link to www.samichlaus.de lost in original editing.Filksinger 20:58, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- My mistake. Upon further research, it appears that, despite references to Klausjagen and Küssnacht, this is the webpage of a St. Nicholas who leads different processions in other Swiss towns in the area. Sorry for the confusion. Filksinger 07:15, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
"The procession that is the central component of the festival is presented as a "removal" of St. Nicholas by the modern participants."
I have removed this line, as clarification by the current performers of the Klausjagen states that it is in honor of St. Nicholas. While it is refered to as a "removal" on the English translation of their website, and it may have had its origins in attempts to "drive him out", it is not seen in this way today.
