D. W. Wheeler edit

Several sources suggest that D. W. Wheeler is actually Kitty Barne. John Vandenberg (chat) 18:53, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

No, Wheeler was her step-father. Mikeo1938 (talk) 08:53, 13 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

1961 edit

Library Association Record included a death notice for her indicating she died on February 3, 1961. Which is why I have stuck two references in near the year of death. John Vandenberg (chat) 18:53, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

There is no doubt but that she died on 3 Feb 1961 - her obituary appeared in the Times (London) on Wednesday, 15 Feb 1961. I am not sure what to do about the two references which currently appear. I guess one should be removed. I am interested in Kitty Barne and would appreciate feedback from anyone with knowledge of her. Mikeo1938 (talk) 08:43, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Fantastic! I have updated the dod, and removed the description of the death from Chosen for Children. See "Kitty+Barne"+1883+1957 here for the other two books. All three books are at my local library and available; I'll double check them tomorrow. John Vandenberg (chat) 09:38, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Marriage edit

I have deleted the ref to Captain Eric Streatfeild. This was not her husband. Her marriage was at Eastbourne in April 1912 to Eric Leonard Streatfeild. Mikeo1938 (talk) 11:28, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
