Kirika's methods of killing

edit

Can someone refresh my memory about statement that Kirika killed an opponent with her index and middle finger? What is it that she does? I have seen the whole series, but I don't have the discs handy and I am drawing a blank on this one. I'd be glad to help work this out. Legitimus (talk) 14:23, 28 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ok, found my DVD. I think I found the scene in question. I had been curious because I know a lot about dirty tricks used by assassins, yet this didn't ring a bell.
Kirika is not using her fingers, she is using her ID card. A hard plastic card, if held correctly, can be used like a very dull knife. It has to strike perpendicularly and be dragged over the area slightly. Kirika in this scene uses this trick to slice her captor's carotid artery, which is lethal. Because Noir is bloodless by design (they show blood for plot points but not actual wounds), his earing breaks as a dramatic cinematic device, which would be unlikely in reality. These scenes confused even my friends because they'd never heard of such a thing, so I had to pause it and explain. Self-defense guys like to show off how they can slash open a side of beef with their VISA, but in reality it's not very practical. You can wound your own hand doing this, and it can only cut so deep, so it has to be surgically accurate on key blood vessels to stop or kill someone. Kirika is skilled enough to do this, and she is in a desperate survival situation. Legitimus (talk) 14:55, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for correcting my mistake, the card is too small to be seen.OgasawaraSachiko (Contact) 11:19, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why is Kirka Weapons listed as a Beretta_M1934 wouldn't a M-9 fit the gun she used in the show better? More shots, more stoping power, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.123.209.138 (talk) 15:01, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
