Removing "importance" tag

I've removed the "importance" tag, placed on this article in July '06. Whatever the shape of the article then, it now includes plenty of justification for this subject's worthiness of a Wikipedia article, specifically from WP:BIO:

"Published authors, editors and photographers who received multiple independent reviews of or awards for their work"

Well, he's received both. And incidentally, I don't know him, haven't read him and don't have any other opinions on him. Noroton 00:00, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

seems a bit self-promoting

awards like "Academy of American Poets Award" are pretty minor and most college kids can get them for publishing a poem or two, especially at a third-tier school. just fyi. he's not exactly very famous in hawaii, either.

fyi, this award is a competitive award among MFA and MA Candidates; considering Wright attended a program run by Frances Mayes, I would consider his award worth mentioning. he is becoming better known in literary circles in the islands after publication of his second novel 'Moloka'i Nui Ahina'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lajollasugar (talk • contribs) 00:46, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

i.e. look at his father's page

absolutely no reason to have a page for him. looks like a family friend is just extremely bored. for a writer who is equally [not] famous, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Witt -- the article is much shorter and his awards are more prestigious. being nominated for a pushcart prize does not take any merit, just someone to offer up nomination.

this seems to be a problem with wikipedia, where articles are unequally weighted depending on [lack of] self-interest in having one. anyone else notice that the main editor to this article bears a strikingly similar username to the subject of the article?

re-adding the importance tag since most of the references are red links, anyway.
