Image on page edit
User:Wingerham52 and I have had some discussion about the image currently in this article (taken in 2019 by User:Chris857 and shown at the right). User:Wingerham52 believes this image is of a modern building that was constructed in place of the Township Hall, and so is not representative of the actual Hall at all. (An image of the building, as nominated, can be found either in the Nomination Form, or, more easily, on Google Maps Streetview.) It's pretty clear that building shown in the image in the article has features that are different than the nominated building, but, to me, the structure in the image looks like it has the same footprint, window size and placement, and roofline - it just has a wraparound porch and a front atrium glued onto the exterior. It's also located in exactly the same place (as can be verified using satellite images, for example from Zoom Earth, which shows both "new" and "old" buildings at the same location at different times). That makes me think the image depicts the actual Township Hall, just with major, non-historical modifications. However, it's not conclusive.
So, any other opinions on the appropriateness of the image in the article? Should there be more commentary than the current caption? Andrew Jameson (talk) 19:03, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
I visited this site several times in the past few years. I never saw a building that would be considered to be historic there. The actual historic building has been demolished after 2008, when Google Street Maps recorded it. I went up and down the road several times looking for it. It is has been totally demolished. During my latest trip, I again saw the building on Street Maps and hopped off the highway to see if I missed it on my previous trips. This time, in its place is a entirely newly constructed house. It has absolutely no resemblance to the historic structure. It still had the stickers in the new windows. It is a pretty rural area, and there is not many other structures around. Andrews contention that it might be a remodel is erroneous. Even if they remodeled the old structure, which to me is not accurate, it destroys the whole notion of what a historic site is.

- At worst, this picture depicts the appearance of the site, and it's important to depict what the location looks like now for the sake of someone who wishes to visit. If we can find a free picture of the original building, upload it and use it, but we should still use the site picture. See Bardwell station; the empty-lot and caboose pictures show how the site's used now, but because I found a public domain image, I gave that prominence. Nyttend backup (talk) 13:39, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
