Kings of Convenience are an indie folk-pop duo

They're not technically "indie", as their record label, Astralwerks is owned by EMI... bogdan 12:36, 14 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

According to the textbook, yes, KOC are not indie because they're signed to a major label. According to a more common definition, they're indie because they're not popular in the mainstream. Much like the Postal Service are indie, so are KOC. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.156.106.43 (talkcontribs)

This is a mess edit

This whole page is a mess, missing much information and in need of updating. The whole section on the 'recent concert' in 2007 needs to go. They have toured worldwide extensively recently, and are putting the finishing touches to a new album. Some missing info maybe of note; Eirik has a degree in architectural psychology. Eirik has reformed the original members of Skog (minus Erlend) and they are currently playing as Kommode. Kommode sound very similar to Erlends solo project The Whitest Boy Alive. Eirik featured on Feist track 'How my heart behaves' from the album 'The reminder'.

Can someone just write this page properly? (Bergenblogger (talk) 04:15, 13 February 2009 (UTC))Reply

Hiatus edit

I'm given to understand that the long break between the first two albums was mainly because one of them was doing a degree.

Any reason this is in reverse chronological order? MKV 07:00, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Why are their first 3 releases considered albums? I would place them in the EP, perhaps even Single categories. 60watt 21:03, 19 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I can't ind no info about the 2000 album called Kings of Convenience... Is there any album with that name? I couldn't find it even at the official website. Filipepaula (talk) 14:37, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry I'm horrible at wikipedia tags. Their debut album on Kindercore was eponymous and shared some songs with Quiet is the new loud which was Astralwerks, but also included Surprise Ice which got some airplay at least in Atlanta it did. I know it was kind of deleted from the catalog but it was an album not a demo and was truly indie. I unfortunately loaned my copy out and never saw it again :( 71.56.126.25 (talk) 16:15, 13 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I can't find anything on "Clowns and Kings." The idea of Biz touring with KoC is pretty hilarious, but probably not real. Just Sayin! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.25.180.119 (talk) 11:23, 30 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Are they triskaidekaphobiacs? Notice how all the albums end at the 12th track.

Fair use rationale for Image:QuietIsTheNewLoud.jpg edit

Image:QuietIsTheNewLoud.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Missing album? edit

They seem to have also released an eponymous album in 2000 - see http://www.discogs.com/Kings-Of-Convenience-Kings-of-Convenience/release/314516 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.53.147.89 (talk) 17:29, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
