Two seemingly conflicting etymologies are given for the name of the Kingdom. Can anyone clear this up? ♪♫Kville105125♫♪

Sources are preferred for additions but especially for edits edit

Just rollbacked an edit of - "The kingdom of Lindsey or Linnuis (Old English) - ". No edit summary. If you have something to add it will always be appreciated but sources (WP:RS) that explain your reasoning are preferred. Descriptive edit summaries, while not required, are very useful (again, we'll all know what your reasoning is). AnonNep (talk) 09:22, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

It was a trivial style fix: Template:Lang#Italics says "{{lang|LanguageCode|...}} outputs plain text, while {{lang-LanguageCode|...}} templates (e.g. {{lang-de}}) output text in italics". I just converted the lead to the form preferred wikiwide. We want foreign language text in italics as per MOS:Ety and the right way to get it is by using the above-mentioned template appropriately. --Omnipaedista (talk) 12:15, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Foot? edit

Sarah Foot's opinion is cited, but no work of hers. It would be best to have her opinion cited to her work. Srnec (talk) 20:41, 8 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
