Speculated content

Hey there. I stumbled across this page and after reading through it have come to a few conclusions. I hate to be the one to break this to you but the content of this page is unfortunately not suitable for Wikipedia. Per one of Wikipedia's official policies, WP:FUTURE-

• "Wikipedia is not a collection of unverifiable speculation. All articles about anticipated events must be verifiable, and the subject matter must be of sufficiently wide interest that it would merit an article if the event had already occurred."
• "Individual scheduled or expected future events should only be included if the event is notable and almost certain to take place."
• "Articles that present extrapolation, speculation, and "future history" are original research and therefore inappropriate."

What this amounts to is that without proper, reliable sources, content can be considered speculation and therefore can be misleading to uninformed readers. Though there is a sequel related to the hidden trailer in Kingdom Hearts II, it is a trailer for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. Because of that, this page will have to be blanked and redirected to another page. Sorry for doing this, but Wikipedia's guidelines and policies must be adhered to. Well, it's not like there's anything wrong with writing stuff like this, it's just that such content is not suitable for an encyclopedia. Take the Kingdom Hearts article for example. All of the statements are supported by sources that have been deemed "reliable sources". Sources like professional gaming news websites; IGN and GameSpot for example. Take Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep as another example. Though the game has not been released, the content in the article is supported by sources that let readers know everything is accurate.

What this KH3 article is missing is reliable sources that back up the information in it. Unfortunately, fansites like kingdomhearts3.net don't qualify as a realiable source. Another thing is that the companies producing the Kingdom Hearts series, have not released any information about a title named Kingdom Hearts 3.

Because of these reason, the article is the speculation of fans. There's nothing wrong with speculating about it, I'm a Kingdom Hearts fan too and was very excited when I found out about the trailer. But Wikipedia does not let us speculate on their website. I hope you understand. (Guyinblack25 ^talk 16:40, 20 March 2008 (UTC))

Well, as fun as it would be to do so, I don't think it's really possible right now. Other than fan speculation there really isn't any information out there to make an article with. Though the director has hinted at new sequels and stories, there have been no official or confirmed announcements of a Kingdom Hearts III. All new information coming out is about the three new games, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts coded. I'm sure after they get released, there may be new information on other projects, but that probably won't happen for a while. For now at least, I think the best course is to redirect this page to Kingdom Hearts (series).

There are plenty of other video game articles on Wikipedia that need content, copy editing, cleaning up, and just general tasks to improve it in an encyclopedic fashion. You may want to head over to Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games. It is a collection of Wikipedia editors that try to improve video game related articles. It gets a little hectic there some times, but there is always plenty of stuff that needs to be done. The talk page is Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games, and new members are always welcome to join.
