Did the Kings of Poland actually use the title "King of Prussia"? It was my understanding that the name Royal Prussia was used because it was the part of Prussia ruled by the king of Poland, not by the "King of Prussia" a title which didn't exist until 1772. No, the Polish kings did not use the title "king of Prussia", they used a string of titles beginning with the following items: ...
