King George Island (Antarctica)King George Island (South Shetland Islands) – to be consistent with other articles for the South Shetland Islands, eg Smith Island (South Shetland Islands). These are islands off Antarctica rather than part of Antarctica. Cjc13 (talk) 12:02, 19 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Comment. It is an Antarctic island, i.e., part of the Antarctic continent. It is not part of the Antarctic mainland, but strictly speaking it is part of "Antarctica". There are no islands within the Antarctic mainland, so all Islands of Antarctica are "off Antarctica", as the nominator says. No real opinion on proposed move; either is as fine as the other. I have no objection to a rename. Good Ol’factory (talk) 01:49, 20 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • change per nom Really this is a reverse of the existing re-direct structure. Change to match other islands that are identified in the Southern Ocean as having an identity apart from the Antarctic Continent itself. Hmains (talk) 03:49, 20 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, per WP:PRECISION. More specific. Rennell435 (talk) 00:27, 28 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
