Spuds
I haven't put this in the article because of NOR but is it still called Spuds (a reference to the King Edward potato? --Northernhenge (talk) 15:42, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Too much history?
As interesting as the 'School Crest' section is, I am not sure how much of it is directly relevent to this article. It seems like a fair bit of work has gone into writing it all up, so I would not feel comfortable just deleting it all, but perhaps if it could be shortened to just facts, without all the back story (which I am sure are covered in other articles concerning those periods of history). Copied Copyrighted Content

Too little history
All that is said about the history of the school is in the lead – " It was founded in 1553, after the death of William Capon (in 1550), who left money in his will for a grammar school for the poor. King Edward VI signed the necessary Royal Charter in 1553 and the School opened in 1554." This needs expansion; I know, for instance, that the school was in what is now the Registry Office in Bugle Street for many years (see [1]).
