Gowns edit

The article states that the Kings scholars wear black gowns. That's backwards isn't it? Don't all of the students wear black gowns except for the Kings scholars, who wear white? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.27.30.149 (talk) 16:22, 2 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Define "famous" edit

I was a King's Scholar, but don't know if I am "famous"! Another way to handle this would be to make King's Scholar a category - then this would be handled automatically, if I understand categories correctly. Jpaulm 18:25, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please merge relevant content, if any, from King's Scholarship per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/King's Scholarship. (If there is nothing to merge, just leave it as a redirect.) Thanks. Quarl (talk) 2007-04-27 11:49Z

Use of King's Scholar at Cambridge edit

I can find no evidence of King's, Cambridge who obtained firsts being called King's Scholar. Someone should find evidence to support this.

Disambiguate? edit

If there are indeed KS's at Canterbury and King's College, Cambridge, these should be separate articles. There is now no way to tell which of these institutions the listed individuals attended. Jpaulm (talk) 12:49, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Westminster edit

Indeed. Westminster School has 40 King's Scholars (KS) when there is a King, and Queen's Scholars (QS) when there is a Queen. Indeed they are responsible for shouting/singing Vivat Rex/Regina at the coronation. This Etonian page should become King's Scholar (Eton) or King's Scholar (Eton College) --Rumping (talk) 10:01, 3 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

sp schols edit

"===King's School, Canterbury=== At the King's School Canterbury, King's Scholars are students who have taken the scholarship exam on entry or achieved exceptional grades in their GCSE, usually more than 8 A*. In previous years they wore gowns over their uniforms, a privilege now reserved for "purples" the heads of houses, captain and vice captain of school and head scholar. Schols do have the right"
