Town status

When and how did Kimberley become a town? It was a civil parish, not a municipal borough or urban district, and had never yet been a town, when Broxtowe Borough was created in 1974. Therefore it was officially a village at least up to 1974. Therefore the change of status must have been made since then, but it'd be nice to know more details. Dadge (talk) 13:58, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
