Shouldn't there be a mention of her handling of the case? Truthsort (talk) 17:13, 26 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi Truthsort, yes there can be if there is a reliable source. However a quick look suggests that people are possibly confusing a decision that came "from the office of the Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx"[1] with it coming from her when she had apparently "recused herself from the case in February"[2] - However that was from a 5 minute search to find out what was causing the spike in vandalism. Something like this:

Tchen's actions in contacting Foxx and Foxx's decision to drop the charges against Smollet has led the Fraternal Order of Police in Chicago to request a formal investigation into abuse of power in failing to pursue charges in the Smollet case. [1]

Chicago Police Union and Police Chiefs call for Foxx to Resign

edit

On April 4, 2019, Chicago's Fraternal Order of Police and the suburban police chiefs associations voted "no confidence" on a vote concerning Kim Foxx's status as Cook County State's Attorney.[14] They then demanded that Foxx immediately resign.
