NOT A SINGLE
editKill The Lights is NOT a single. A video was made from a "fan site". The art work is fake also. This needs to be changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MichaelB722 (talk • contribs) 04:12, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Not Promo Single
editThe video was made through her official site. however its just to promote the album, and get the fans involved. I Think the Article should be kept up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Apeaboutsims (talk • contribs) 06:08, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Changed! PlatinumFire (talk) 11:52, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Since there seem to be differing opinions about adding {{Britney Spears singles}} to this article: "Kill the Lights" hasn't been released as a single of course, but that template lists Spears's other notable songs as well, among them "Kill the Lights". I think it should of course be added here.
Opinions?Amalthea 17:49, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
I keep adding it but someone keeps removing it! All other songs in the Notable Songs section have the template in their articles so Kill the Lights also should have it! PlatinumFire (talk) 13:36, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
CD SINGLE?!?!?!?!?!
editCan someone verify this? Haven't heard it anywhere.User:Cprice1000 (Cprice1000 14:34, 1 August 2010 (UTC))

Kill the Lights → Kill the Lights (song) – It needs to be disambiguated in some way to avoid confusion with The New Cities album "Kill the Lights (album)" DanielFarad (talk) 22:39, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose. Not needed (yet) per WP:TWODABS. Add a hatnote to this article instead. The album itself doesn't exist yet so wait for its release to weigh notability. — AjaxSmack 02:21, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose per Ajax. – ukexpat (talk) 14:38, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

- He said he was inspired by Hans Zimmer's scores, such as Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks -> He credited "" as a primary source of inspiration
- On November 13, 2008, the song leaked a month before the album's official release -> Th song leaked on November 13, 2008, a full month before the album's official release
- on the forth season
- How was it featured? (Played, intro song. etc.?)
- along with "Circus"' Junior Vasquez Club Circus Remix. -> rmv double quote. Also, better "the Junior Vasquez Club Circus Remix of "Circus".
Composition
edit- The sample needs a much more in depth descriptive rational (with sources)
- that talks about -> again
- was considered as a sequel of it, -> was considered its sequel
- the fact that Spears is introduced by Danja as "Our very own Pop princess / Now Queen of Pop" -> Why?
- claiming the singer's vocals are heavily processed in the song -> while describing her vocals as heavily produced
Reception
edit- "Kill the Lights" received positive reviews from music critics -> NPOV. There are negative reviews as well
- Too many "ands" being used as connectors
- Too many "saids"

- Link Madonna
- MoS issues. When in quotes, the album should appear 'Blackout'
- This section needs a lot of tightening

Music video
edit- No need to write "Britney.com". -> Official website is enough
- The winner of the contest would get to see their story becoming a plot for an official music video of a song -> needs significant re-writing
- for "Kill the Lights" title "Known Everywhere", that was revealed on February 11, 2009, -> Read this out loud. You are missing some things
- are in the back taking -> background?
- Right after, wee see an animated Spears -> poor writing; also, your hand appeared to have gone numb while pressing the E key :P
- he last three lines really need more professional writing
Credits
edit- The source should be introduced. Look at The Emancipation of Mimi to understand
References
edit- Several are missing accessdates
- 1 should appear in italics and as People, not People.com. Also, you are missing a publisher
- Same for 2
- What's with 3?
- What makes 5 reliable?
- 6 should appear in a more detailed format
- Why does Britney.com appear in both italics and not?
- 10; publisher?
- 11 needs work
- Several newspapers require you to use the "cite news" template; #s 22, 23
- Similar issues persist. Why is Allmusic is italics?
- Article is now placed on hold. Any questions and/or concerns will be replied to here. Good luck.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 03:36, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

- It's kind of weird reading it saying that there are "mixed" reviews, when only one review here is actually negative, if it must be qualified, it should say "mostly positive reviews", so I'm going to change it to that. --WikiDonn (talk) 06:13, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
