Cleanup tag
editI don't know the first thing about horse racing and so forth, but this article is in a pretty sorry state. The lead talks about an "enforced sabbatical", which I can only assume relates to a ban placed on him following the scandal which is described later on. It then goes on to make him out to be some kind of white knight. The section on the scandal itself makes little sense, since it seems to start with an unsourced opinion on the entire thing before discussing what actually happened. To the layperson, this article is largely impossible to understand. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 11:42, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed. It's gushing PR bullshit. I too know little about racing and have attempted an initial cleanup. I get pissed off with people who can't obey basic WP guidelines and indeed common sense, so can't face doing any more. It's a waste of my time. John 13:48, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- The case itself is of course notable but it seems ridiculous that the first thing the reader is hit with when the page loads up is "Allegations of "Conspiracy to Defraud" considering Kieren was found not guilty! It's also strange that updates about his substance use are included in this sub-section. Hazir (talk) 06:11, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
It's a disgrace that this article focuses on a court case where the subject of the article was acquited. There appears to be far too little information on the jockey's career which is ridiculous for a 6 time champion jockey. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.204.228.178 (talk) 22:18, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
I think that the solution here is to expand the sections NOT dealing with the controversial issues to give the article a proper balance. I DO know lots about horse-racing so it should be possible. Tigerboy1966 (talk) 22:23, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- added details on riding career, removed some redundancy in controversy section. Work in progress. Trying to find the details on that time he pulled another jockey off his horse.Tigerboy1966 (talk) 12:35, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
