@Certes and Dan arndt: It would have been helpful if you'd waited for the editor who created the articles to respond before renaming them.
Here in Wikipedia we use WP:COMMONNAME to name articles. The common name of both individuals is K. Sivanesan. The initialisation of the first name may look odd to western eyes but this is how Tamils do it. The creation of K. Sivanesan (politician) was wrong as both individuals are politicians. There is an argument for having Kiddinan Sivanesan as the primary topic as he is the better known of the two. Whichever way it's done, having the first names in the titles is wrong - Tamils don't use their full first name.--Obi2canibe (talk)17:22, 3 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Obi2canibe: Thanks for the information and sorry for the inconvenience. I was just trying to tidy up links to the disambiguation page and to help editors find the right article in future.
