Tibetan spelling edit

The paper map I have, published by the Amnye Machen Institute of Dharamsala, spells the name as "གི་བར" rather than the "ཀྱི་འབར", that we have. These are similar spellings, but not the same, as we have more (presumably silent) letters. I should point out that this paper map is of Tibet, and only contains a small amount of neighbouring areas of India incidentally. They may not have paid as much attention to the Indian parts of the map. Can we get a citation for the spelling we're using? --Keithonearth (talk) 04:52, 25 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Added most of the usual sections for a village article and filled them out. Changed the local spelling Khyipur according to the Census 2011 document.
Deleted the reference to ALG which is a rumour: The TOI article cited for a proposed ALG in Kibber talks authoritatively about a proposed ALG only in Rangrik about 2,000' lower down on the other bank of the Spiti. The only mention of Kibber in that article is a quote from a private resident of Kee village "There was proposal to build military-cum-civil airstrip either at Rangrik or near Kibber. Our politicians also promised to fulfil our dreams. ...". This rumour has no place in the Wikipedia article on Kibber. Deleted the large number of military links in the "See also" section that have no relevance to Kibber. --Tagooty (talk) 07:53, 25 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
