Marshal Choibalsan is idol and hero

We will remember him forever

Do you not think there are many Mongolians who would be offended to read such a comment? Think of how many widows, widowers and orphans there are in Mongolia due to his policies even to this day. Decades after his death there are still many middle-aged/elderly Mongolians who are scarred by atrocities for which he was responsible.

If you believe that a leader who resorts to violence is justified in doing so, then you should also realise and acknowledge that there will always be those who lose loved ones.

Fight with Stalin edit

Hey I'm just wondering, where did you guys find that Choybalsan hit Stalin in the face and broke his cigar? Can you provide me a source please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.107.130.47 (talkcontribs)

That statement was included by an anonymous editor without providing sources. I just removed it again, because it seems highly unlikely to be true. --Latebird 16:01, 21 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
You correctly removed this statement. The story is not about Choibalsan but about Genden. It was Genden who quarrelled with Stalin, called him the Russian Tsar and broke his pipe. The source for this is Baabar, Twentieth Century Mongolia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Radchenk (talkcontribs) 11:45, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Horloogiyn Choybalsan.jpg edit

Image:Horloogiyn Choybalsan.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Request for Comments edit

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.

The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 00:51, 26 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
