The history as translated from amphoe.com must be a bit wrong. The Royal Gazette clearly states that it were the two tambon Khlong Lan and Pong Nam Ron which formed the King Amphoe in 1977. So Khlong Lan Phattana must have been created after the creation of the minor district, and tambon Khlong Lan renamed to Khlong Nam Lai.
