To preserve Khaling Language, Which is natural language spoken by khambu/Kirant Khaling Rai since stone age. edit

Khaling language is being spoke Khambu/Kirant Khaling Rai since stone age. It has own grammar in speaking sentence. There are two level of speakers language; 1st to speak general in practical life and 2nd for ritual and cultural purpose to furnish Khaling cultural works like worship or celebrate many types of festivals, wedding, funeral etc. This language has not own script but somewhere there is being used Kiranti/Limbu/ script. Most of writers have used Deva nagarik script to write literature for this language. In the past it was used to speak and understand only but now a days there are many written books. According to Local government record of Dudhkoshi Gaun Palika and Kirat Khaling Rai Uthan Sangh (Kirat Khaling Uplift committee) , total population of Khambu/Kirant Khaling Rai is More then 15,000 (all aged/recent record).

It has own type of origin and importance in world cultural heritage. There are many people interested to learn this language because of its own type of specialty. On the other hand it is being aggravated by other language and possible to lost in future if there is not enough exercise to preserve it soon. Actually there is not any plan to preserving plan from Nepal government at all. There is an own organization named Kirat Khaling Rai Uthan Sangh (Kirat Khaling Uplift committee) at Kathmandu Nepal. This non government organization is doing best effort to save Kirant/Khambu Khaling Rai's Language, culture, original cultural dress, historical places and historical tools and material.

There are several festivals and among them 'Waas' is the important festival for Khambu/Kirant Khaling Rai. This festival (wass) is celebrated by Khaling society three times in a year. The first one is called ...(1 day), second....(3 days) and third......(1 day). There are many places for celebrating this festival and among them "Lomru Waas" is the most popular and more important for all Kirant/Khambu Khaling Rai and non Kirant/Khambu Khaling Rai.
