JSON should eventually also be mentioned. It is typically used for data exchange of small amounts of data. I haven't seen it being used for large amounts of data, though. --MartinThoma (talk) 17:18, 19 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Added in Examples section. 71.225.161.57 (talk) 10:53, 23 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
And removed again. Indiscriminate example lists don't belong here, wikipedia isn't a directory or a catalog. - MrOllie (talk) 12:01, 23 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Is Special:MobileDiff/1135560734 okay? Though if this is removed, there would be no more modern examples left in the article. Mindlearner (talk) 09:04, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Key–value database (dash instead of hyphen) edit

I'm not sure, but it seems the hyphen can be replaced with en dash (or em dash).

It will be more logical. Consider this "examples":

  • The color of the Sun -- is yellow. (Well, white, I know.)
  • Color -- yellow.
  • Key -- value.

Hyphens, on the other hand, are typically used in slighter different meaning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.108.28.74 (talkcontribs)
