I reverted all the changes to the article that included any mention of the hamburger chain other than it being a mascot for the chain. This article is about the doll not about a hamburger chain. If people want to create an article about the hamburger chain they can go right ahead but that information does not belong in this article. Dr. Morbius (talk) 20:14, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

Derogatory Term? Medical Condition?

I've removed the following from the article:

A "Kewpie Doll" is also a derogatory term for a short person. Like many now-unfavorable terms, using "Kewpie Doll" to slight a short person originates in medical literature. Although use of this term is discouraged when working with affected individuals, this reference can jog the memory of a health care provider to recognize a serious medical condition. Children with a "Kewpie Doll" appearance should be screened for growth hormone deficiency.

I find no reliable source apart from Wiki mirrors about the derogatory term, which seems suspect to me. Also, the medical advice given is simply bizarre. If there is an associated medical syndrome, then it should be written up as its own article with sources and not marooned here in an article about a harmless bit of Americana. If sources exist for this stuff, they should be cited. Otherwise, this spectacularly fails WP:V. - Corporal Tunnel (talk) 20:29, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Qu'est-ce que c'est Kewpie?

Unfortunately the article doesn't state clearly what characterises a Kewpie doll. E. g. how big are they, how expensive were they, what did they look like, how were you supposed to play with them (play baby or dress them up), whom were they aimed at, etc. I have read the entire article and I still couldn't tell you what a Kewpie doll really is. This article is about Kewpie dolls not about a hamburger chain. If you want to create an article for Kewpee Hamburgers go right ahead but leave that information out of this article. It is irrelevant and does not belong here. Dr. Morbius (talk) 20:22, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
