The South Park article says edit

The South Park article says:

Madonna, who is ridiculed in "Kenny Dies" Was just wondering if the specifics of that ridicule could be added to the plot summary. Thanks. - RoyBoy 800 04:50, 31 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

(though it could...) edit

"Though it could be argues whether he cared for him at all"...

I think that should be debated: for though his strives and achievements in stem-cell research did only benefit himself in the way of a new Shaky's Pizza, Cartman did cry at Kenny's door before he even knew about stem cell research. This couldv been a ploy to confuse viewers though...

No he didn't, he tried to sell the fetuses as shrimp (because stamcel research got illegal)before kenny got in the hospital.

But when he visited Kenny he didn't know what the stem cells could be used for, only that it was something in science. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.48.50.178 (talk) 20:25, 15 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

He's right. Cartman had no idea what Stem Cells could do until AFTER he was told Kenny was dying. The grief at the beginning and the whole "I always thought you were MY best friend" thing he did...that was probably genuine, one of the few times Cartman's actually a good person. But then once he finds out what stem cells can be used for, he uses Kenny's condition as a way to get stem cell research unbanned for his own personal reasons. So although he starts out concerned for his friend, he ends up using his friend's death for his own personal gain, which makes his earlier emotional outbursts seem hypocrital. Kyle was right to beat him up. -Captain N

I agree with Captain N. I believe his original plan was to help Kenny out with stem cells. But Kenny died so Cartman didn't get to him in time. So in the end he decided to make a replicated Shakey's. Could we mention that as a theory on the main article page with excerpts from the transcript to back it up? - Matildafan49

Terri Schiavo edit

This episode is very obviously based on everything that happened surrounding Terri Schiavo, a woman who suffered brain damage and became dependent on a feeding tube. So many resembles, and look at the dates. April 24, 2001, was the date on which Terri Schiavo's tube was to be removed, then the three appeals took place and the PVS diagnosis was challenged. The South Park episode first aired on December 5, 2001, between what became known as Schiavo III and Schiavo IV. I don't understand that nothing of this is mentioned in the article, but Wikipedia relies on the community, so at least now I've mentioned this. Hopefully someone else will add something about this to the article. ;-) --62.194.194.24 05:46, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The episode based in Schiavo is Best Friends Forever which also deals with Kenny dying. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.61.113.92 (talk) 06:47, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Sounds like advocacy?" edit

The edit that was reverted simply corrected a misconception this episode promoted. Why should anyone conflate that with advocacy, and if they shouldn't, why should we be pandering to them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.63.176.169 (talk) 01:36, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
