Talk:Ken Henry (public servant)

This edit warring is getting silly edit

This stuff is just getting ridiculous now. I agree that the IPA cites being added accompany content that is argumentative rather than biographical and therefore probably violating WP:BLP. Can I suggest, however, that the change the IP is making to the quote has merit and I think I prefer it that way. As such, I've been bold and readded the quote. Feel free to revert if you want but it would be better if we talked it out here. bou·le·var·dier (talk) 01:45, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I guess that extended quote is fine. I don't feel I'm part of this edit warring. Today is the forst time I've looked at this article for some time. An edit summary calling another editor an idiot was the red flag that drew my attention. Not smart. I do hope our IP editor joins the discussion. It can only help. Thanks for that Boulevardier - I agree completely. I should have left in the material not relating to partisan claims. Nick-D (talk) 08:59, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is the first time I have looked at this article. It has obviously been edited repeatedly and carelessly, leaving many fractured sentences, some of which I started to fix until I realised how extensive the problem is. It also includes non-neutral terms like cherry picking, in a poorly edited section headed "Effects of the stimulus package" which would more accurately have been headed "Criticism of stimulus package by the Australian newspaper". The article needs a thorough edit, but I am hesitant to start in case it precipitates some sort of editing cascade. Is anyone out there? What do you think? Semi-protected edit request on 7 February 2019 edit

Please change this article to reflect the announcement that Ken Henry will be leaving his position as NAB chairman following the criticism of him that was contained in the final report of the Royal Commission into the banking/financial industry, and the consequent widespread criticism of him and calls for his resignation or removal. This has just been announced on ABC radio's "PM" programme and the usual audio & transcript will shortly be added to the programme's website. By now there should also be numerous news reports online that can also be cited. Cheers! 1.152.110.148 (talk) 07:00, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Done. Please propose better statements and sources if you have them. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 09:19, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
