Date of death edit

What is the source for the given date of death July 16? The cited source Edmonton Journal does not say this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.152.206.71 (talk) 14:27, 8 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Alexander, Phil (July 17, 2020). "SNFU'S CHI PIG: 1962-2020". Kerrang!. Retrieved September 8, 2020.
Thank you for your quick response, but that article does not say the date of death was July 16, it says his death was confirmed on July 16. Not the same thing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.152.206.71 (talk) 20:54, 8 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
A fair point. In Chris Walter, What No One Else Wanted to Say, Third edition [2020], Vancouver: GFY Press, pg. 269: "[Chinn] died at Vancouver General Hospital on July 16, 2020." This seems like a pretty authoritative source confirming the date. If you have reliable sources that say otherwise, you can share here on the talk page and we can discuss. Correction: this is from the seventh printing (2020). CCS81 (talk) 22:11, 8 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, yes, the date is also on the GFY Press webpage for that book http://www.punkbooks.com/snfu2020.html. It just seemed strange to me that the cited source for the comment "He died on July 16, 2020." does not support that comment. Thank you for your quick responses. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.152.206.71 (talk) 01:48, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Sure, thanks for making some good observations. The article is stronger for them. CCS81 (talk) 02:09, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
