This has been brought up on talk before.
Why are we, as our prominent first image, using a nekkid lady? It makes the subject of this article indistinguishable from any old nymph article. I know the artwork is for a kelpie, but I think the article quality would be increased if we could find something more uniquely "kelpian". There must be notable art of, I dunno, a kelpie changing form from horse to (wo)man or vice versa. CapnZapp (talk) 10:45, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
- As is, we have a grand total of two (2) images. Neither features any sort of equine. Both feature women (despite the article stating most folklore depicts the shapechanger as predominantly male). CapnZapp (talk) 10:47, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
- I'd suggest removing one of those two images. The lead one I added is not as good quality, but at least it has hooves. It seems that kelpies can change to male human form too; wonder where images of that sort might lurk. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 09:54, 12 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
