Nov. 2006: Need the title in Arabic

I'm having trouble finding the Arabic title for this film. Is there anyone who might be able to find it and add it to this article? Thanks. (→Netscott) 02:25, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks BhaiSaab for the help. I checked the CNN video where the title in Arabic flashes briefly and it appears that the second part of what you've written is correct but not the first part. Feature film

According to CNN this film is not merely the first big budget film but is the first feature film... I think that point is important enough to include in the article. Is there any particular reason why it shouldn't? (→Netscott) 13:38, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Relevance of larger ban on public gatherings

This appears to be one of those places where the moral objections of the religious scholars dovetail with the secruity objections of the state apparatus. I've tried to add material on this, but as Netscott points out on my talk page, much of the State Dept. quote is perhaps better placed in a larger article on censorship. Hope other editors will take a pass at improving this. I will look for more information on the cinema ban itself. BYT 09:59, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

The article says "Saudi audiences will be able to see the film on pay-per-view through an agreement with Showtime Arabia... Although there is clerical opposition to public screenings of films in Saudi Arabia, media reports suggest that the ban on public display of movies there is also in keeping with the monarchy's refusal to permit unlicensed public gatherings."

One can view this movie easily in Saudi Arabia (through pay per view). There is no source currently alleging "censorship". I don't see the relevance for that category.Bless sins (talk) 05:29, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

There is no ban on cinema in Saudi Arabia. You can see the official government response here. As of such, I am removing the para quoted from an outdated blog.
