Birthdate edit

Twitter, Serienjunkies, Niktastic, Teen Idols 4 U, New DVD release dates, AlloCine, and several others agree that his birthdate is October 22, 2001. Vulture in 2018 said he was 16, which would agree with an October 2001 birthdate. Given all this, do we have to be so goddamn anal about this issue? It IS his birthdate - I don't see this level of scrutiny for 90% of other bio articles. ~EDDY (talk/contribs)~ 20:38, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

None of these except Vulture appear to meet WP:RS, and that gives only an age no birthdate. This is a BLP article and personal information like birthdates must have reliable sources.
It really is okay for unverified personal information not to be in a Wikipedia article. TJRC (talk) 21:28, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Don't think something as essential as a date of birth should be absent if we have the info. But I'm taking it to Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard. ~EDDY (talk/contribs)~ 21:46, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
LOL LOL LOL good luck with that! —Joeyconnick (talk) 03:01, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Your condescension is not appreciated, sir, nor is your removing of the sourced birth year. ~EDDY (talk/contribs)~ 14:25, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
As on my Talk page, since you seem to insist on discussing this in multiple places: Heavy.com is misinterpreting a previous interview that they are referring to, so it's a tertiary source. I switched things over to the actual article referred to by Heavy.com, which only says he was 15 at a certain point in 2017, so the edit made is the best info we have. —Joeyconnick (talk) 22:53, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
How do you know they are misinterpreting an interview? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Editorofthewiki (talkcontribs) 23:34, May 27, 2020 (UTC)
Actually, I had initially been inclined to like the heavy.com source. However, I note that WP:RSP flags it as problematic: "There is consensus that Heavy.com should not be relied upon for any serious or contentious statements, including dates of birth." So I unfortunately agree with its removal. TJRC (talk) 20:58, 28 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
