definitely needs a strong and reliable cite. It certainly wasn't a "major" hub for the Transatlantic trade. If it was ever a major hub of any slaving in the modern era, it would have been for the "European" needs of Ottoman Turkey, which isn't what the current phrasing actually means. — LlywelynII02:11, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
