Talk:Katzenellenbogen

Latest comment: 1 year ago by Robert P. O'Shea in topic Entries from German Wikipedia?

Hi, I am requesting a page on "Dr Edwin Maria Katzenellenberger." He was a Harvard Psychiatrist and Eugenicist, who aided the Nazis in the camps. I feel this deserves special attention, but unfortunately the only info I found was one page on German wikipedia, and "War against the Weak," by Edwin Black. Thank you.

The text that katzenelson comes from katzenellenbogen is given without source. In fact, all Katzenelson's are Kohanim, and, all Katzenellenbogens are yisrael. Therefore katzenelson cannot come from katzenellenbogen. To claim otherwise, you have to have a very good source. Absent said sources, I am removing that part of the text. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.45.12.114 (talk) 02:15, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

"all Katzenelson's are Kohanim, and, all Katzenellenbogens are yisrael". This is a very sweeping statement. A citation would be useful here also. --ABehrens (talk) 22:44, 24 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Entries from German Wikipedia? edit

Dear fellow Wikipedian, The article currently includes one Katzenellenbogen from the German Wikipedia: Stephen M. Kellen (born Katzenellenbogen). If this person is considered notable enough to be included in English Wikipedia, there are at least nine others in the same article in German Wikipedia who would seem also to qualify for inclusion in the English article. The options are to delete Stephen M. Kellen from the list or to include all from the German list, but I am not sure which is the better option. Please help! If you do, please let me know via some other medium than this talk page; I edit only occasionally. Robert P. O'Shea (talk) 11:23, 11 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
