Orphaned references in Katyn Commission

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Katyn Commission's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

"External Link" section: removal?

Since it's gone back and forth in the edit history a few times, I thought it best to make a talk section before simply deleting the "External Link" section. That said, can anyone tell the relevance of those links? I was only able to access the archived one, but it seemed to bear no relation to the actual topic of the article beyond a brief mention of the coincidence in the dates of the Katyn Massacre and Stalin's death. If the link is even to an appropriate source, it seems that it would more properly be linked from an article about Stalin or his death. TheLetterThorn (talk) 00:07, 1 March 2022 (UTC)

Since it's been over a week with no comments, I went ahead and removed the links. I'm still open to discussion here if anyone has a compelling reason to re-add them. TheLetterThorn (talk) 00:26, 12 March 2022 (UTC)

Good call. That link led to a conspiracy theory created by a very banned long-term pest; indeed it was him who was adding those links. He has been banned from all Wikimedia projects by the WMF, and all edits made by him should be reverted. JavaHurricane 16:01, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
