Featuring in two episodes for a TV series
Not an overly important point, but does someone know the Wikipedia convention for filmographies when an actor appears in two episodes of the same series? On every other actor page I checked, a single episode is listed by name, but two or more just shows '2 episodes' etc. I ask because I updated this page to reflect this, and someone undid saying two episodes appearances are nearly always listed to show both episode names. - Hi Autumnking2012. On my end, it's the opposite – most of the articles I visit list the titles out for 1–2 episodes. By the time you get to 3 episodes, it's sometimes too long to list out all the titles (though I've definitely seen 3 listed out at some places...). At somewhere around 4–6 episodes, the convention is usually to switch to a "Recurring role, 5 episodes"-type listing with no episode titles... And, to answer your question, I don't think WP:FILMOGRAPHY has a formal "guideline" on this question, so whether 2 episode titles are listed out or not is pretty much a "local consensus" question, I guess. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 19:29, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi IJBall! When I checked WP:FILMOGRAPHY, the example it gave listed multiple episodes as '2 episodes' etc., but that is obviously just project recommendations not a formal guideline, so I wasn't sure if there wasn't another guideline somewhere else (the guidelines are a bit of a maze to me!). I have previously listed both episode titles for actors appearing in two episodes of a series and had the edits reverted. I don't want to get into an edit war with anyone if I go back and change them again! I have asked the question on the WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers Talk Page out of interest. - There are some disruptive IP's that will revert listing 2 episode titles, but they tend to be the same ones that insist upon using 'rowspan' improperly so I tend to ignore them. In any case, with 2 episodes, if the titles are short, I think it's better to list them than not. (As for WP:FILMOGRAPHY itself, I believe I was the one who worked up the current example, and the only reason I didn't list the episode titles for the 2-episode listing there is because the example is a child actor who died back in the 80s, and I was too lazy to look up the episode titles for those 80s shows!) --IJBall (contribs • talk) 23:46, 11 March 2017 (UTC)

As people seem to agree that it is okay to list titles for 2 episodes (it makes more sense to me too!), I thought I would amend the example to include the two episode titles - the filmography is for Heather O'Rourke? That way, if someone reverts me, I could always point them to WP:FILMOGRAPHY as an example. As you made the example originally, I just wanted to double check that would be OK with you? Thanks again!. It was actually not Katie Cassidy who stars in Legends of Tomorrow, it was actually Caity Lotz, who had played SARA LANCE. She is also SARA Lance in Legends of Tomorrow TheRightStuff1 (talk) 13:33, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
