GA on hold

I have reviewed this article according to the GA criteria and have decided to put the article on hold until a few things are fixed.

  1. In edit mode, the citation templates are really spaced out which could make it difficult for editors to modify the article. Remove the spacing between the parameters so it condenses down and doesn't take up so much space. This isn't a GA requirement, but would make it easier for other editors.
  2. Remove some of the redlinks to words and names you think will probably not have articles down the line. I don't think that the police officer that was killed will ever have an article, unless you plan to create it soon. Go through the article and delink accordingly.
  3. "Power remained at large, her trail eventually growing cold." Reword this sentence, it doesn't sound very encyclopedic.
  4. In the "Fugitive" section, add a wikilink for FBI, it was last mentioned in the intro, and some readers may skip the intro. Also, there is no mention of her being on a top ten FBI fugitive list except for in the intro, add information about it here as well.
  5. "During her time on the run, Power was also diagnosed and treated for clinical depression, but this was unrelated to the crime and time spent eluding authorities as it was a condition she suffered from even as a child." Reword this sentence, it sounds long and drawn-out.
  6. "The therapist that diagnosed the depression, and whom Power confided her secret with, was Linda Carroll." What secret? This wasn't mentioned before this sentence.
  7. "In court Power made the following statement:" The quote talks about his death, expand upon this lead by saying which death. Such as "In court Power made the following statement about her reaction to the police officer/Bond's death (whichever one it is)".
  8. In the "Cultural references to Katherine Ann Power" section, convert the list into prose.

The article is informative and has adequate sources. It would be great if you could get another image if possible, but it is not necessary for the article to be passed as a GA. I will leave the article on hold for seven days until the above items are fixed. Let me know on my talk page if you have any questions or when you are done and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Nehrams2020 06:55, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

GA passed

I have passed this article according to the GA criteria. Excellent work on fixing all of these so quickly. In the "Cultural references" section, wikilink the first occurrence of "Law & Order" and in the next sentence, Episode doesn't need to be capitalized. The show should also have italics around both occurrences. Besides this, the article looks good, but continue to improve it by adding any new information that is properly sourced. If you have the time please consider reviewing an article or two at GAC to help with the backlog. --Nehrams2020 05:28, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
