Hello, Epod1396. You need to provide references to reliable, published sources that verify the content that you want to add. Unreferenced content is not acceptable. Please read Verifiability and Referencing for beginners. Cullen328 (talk) 04:19, 15 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Cullen328, Hello Cullen328, the source is gymternet. Here's the link: https://thegymter.net/kate-mcdonald/ . I hope this is ok? I'm a bit confused with all the information. thanks Epod1396 (talk) 08:20, 15 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Epod1396, follow the instructions in WP:RFB and create a properly formatted reference. Cullen328 (talk) 16:34, 15 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the tip @Cullen328 but I just don't understand it, hence my request to @Mypurplelightsaber, the page creator to update the information Epod1396 (talk) 04:52, 16 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Epod1396, @Cullen328 Doesn't https://thegymter.net/ look like a user-generated blog? For Epod1396, sites with user-written content cannot be used as sources; see WP:RS David10244 (talk) 08:32, 16 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Cullen328 @David10244, https://www.gymnastics.sport/site/athletes/bio_detail.php?id=36803&type=licence I really don't understand any of this. With the exception of the medals won at the Continental Championships (which can be confirmed via this link), all the other medal information was added by the page creator. I'm only asking for the individual continental Championships medals to be added in as well as having the FIT Challenge medals and Continental Championships medals to be included under the Representing Aust Medal record. FIT challenge can be found here:
https://wagymnastics.fandom.com/wiki/2019_Flanders_International_Team_Challenge#Results and here on the official website:
https://www.gymfed.be/calendar/event/1527 If you click the Resultaten Seniors, you will see results, team results are a few pages down Epod1396 (talk) 10:00, 16 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
It looks to me like thegymter.net has features of a blog and a sports database. The editor-in-chief is based in the US but they cover athletes and competitions worldwide. My first inclination is to consider the database content reliable but not the blog content. I am not an expert in gymnastics but I notice that this website is used as a reference in other biographies of gymnasts.It can be discussed at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard. Hello! Re: the Medal Record within the infobox – can definitely add Oceania Championships, but generally we do not include minor competitions like Gymnix or FIT Challenge (those just end up in competitive history). The medal record should only include major competitions like Olympics, World Championships, continental championships/games (including sub-continental like PacRims, South American, Northern European, etc.), and other major multi-sport competitions. Also, feel free to join other gymnastics-enthused wikipedians at WikiProject Gymnastics! Mypurplelightsaber (talk) 18:01, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Mypurplelightsaber, thanks so much, appreciate your assistance Epod1396 (talk) 04:36, 19 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
