Ref: Captain Power 'rip-off' claims

edit

Users should refrain from the use of phrases such as 'rip-off' when making claims of plagiarism, and when making such claims must provide suitable citations. An analogous statement with even the most appellative of descriptors (eg. "the track in level three of Game X is the same as the theme played during the entrance of Villain Y in TV Show Z") does not make for a citation. The statement in question does not even point out which boss 'rips off' the character Soaron.

As it stands, I believe the boss is the character Soaron (though out of any sort of Captain Power continuity), used with permission. Until I can provide suitable citation, or the user making allegations of plagiarism can provide evidence, I'm removing the line from the article.predcon (talk) 05:22, 25 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Additionally, I'm removing the line comparing 'some music which sounds similar to other music'. Sound is subjective, especially to fans of certain titles who look and find similarities that aren't really there. Posting speculation without official statement from the composer talking about inspiration and such, it's not appropriate. predcon (talk) 05:28, 25 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
