Content written like an advertisement edit

Seeking the help of my fellow Wikipedia editor on the subject of this talk on Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi's page. Thank you as you help Zarah Abdurrahman (talk) 14:09, 7 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

When you have two entire sections on "Key achievements" and "Awards and recognitions", with citations to things as trivial as Twitter, then you're clearly trying to promote the subject. And I removed His past roles have honed his capabilities and amassed valuable experiences that have thoroughly equipped him for his present position., which could be said to apply to almost any person in existence. * Pppery * it has begun... 21:02, 7 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for this helpful comment Zarah Abdurrahman (talk) 08:41, 8 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Pppery
Could you please indicate the areas where this wikipedia page still reads like an advert even after making the necessary edits? Zarah Abdurrahman (talk) 10:05, 11 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
What necessary edits? You've not addressed either of my concerns above. * Pppery * it has begun... 14:19, 11 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Your comment is not helping. Kindly indicate where your think there are concerns on this page Zarah Abdurrahman (talk) 14:45, 11 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I did exactly that above. This is clearly not going anywhere. * Pppery * it has begun... 00:32, 16 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Pppery Have you reviewed Zarah's edits before this diff? Do your concerns still exist? NotAGenious (talk) 11:47, 17 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes. I still think having two entire sections listing "Awards" and "Key contributions" is inherently promotional writing, and there's pretty much nothing left other than that. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:05, 17 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
  Response to third opinion request:
I read through the article and looked at its sources. It appears that the concerns over social media citations have been addressed. I did not check the sources against the text but am proceeding with the assumption that they do back the content as that is not part of this dispute. This article has a good start (organization, secondary sources, notability) but would benefit from a thoughtful copy edit to become more encyclopedic. Sometimes issues in style and tone can occur due to variations in language usage between countries. I do not think the promotional tag exactly fits this situation. Rather, I believe this article should be flagged with the "Like resume" tag (surrounded by {{ }} instead of quotations) which generates the following "This biographical article is written like a résumé. Please help improve it by revising it to be neutral and encyclopedic". Without going into specific examples, I reached the conclusion because the text overly focuses on achievements and outcomes and also uses a lot of adjectives and adverbs. Fortunately, the WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors provides neutral editing services that can address this problem. If you flag the article with "copy edit" (surrounded by {{ }} instead of quotations) the following notice will be attached: "This article may require copy editing for grammar, style, cohesion, tone, or spelling." and someone from the GOCE will copy edit the article for you and address the concerns I have indicated. It may take months before someone from GOCE gets to this article, but the editor will be neutral to this situation and skilled in encyclopedic style. Yeah, using {{Like resume}} and {{copyedit}} instead of {{advert}} works for me. * Pppery * it has begun... 22:28, 18 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi everyone. I haven't looked at the sources in depth, just working on the tone for now. I've started on the lead and career section. Haven't finished. Please take a look and make any necessary changes and/or discuss here. It is too promotional but nothing major that can't be fixed with good old fashion editing. And yes, I agree with Rublamb. People from different parts of the world use the English language differently.Tamsier (talk) 05:00, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
This section is promotional, so I'm copying and pasting it here but removing it from the article. I've already summarised in the article's career section.
=== Technical Assistant to the DG of NITDA ===
Abdullahi worked as the Technical Assistant[1] between 2017 and 2019 to his Content development predecessor, Isa Pantami, where he played a key advisory role in areas such as IT regulation, local content development, and digital inclusion.[2]
He played a key role in the coordination of local content initiatives in 2017, which increased the ICT local production.[3]
His efforts led to significant cost reductions in procurement processes, ensuring efficient project delivery and achieving over 5% reduction in the budgets of major projects.[4]
