So why is this geologic province called "Karoo-Ferrar"? Are these the locations where the rocks were first found? If so, where are "Karoo" & "Ferrar"? (Just some questions from a non-expert who would like to learn, not be made to feel uneducated.) -- llywrch (talk) 22:36, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm no expert either, but my guess is that it's named after the Karoo region in South Africa and the Ferrar Glacier in Antarctica. I'll try to track down a source or two. -- Avenue (talk) 01:35, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
