Fair use rationale for Image:Mrsmccluskey dh.jpg

edit

Image:Mrsmccluskey dh.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merge proposal

edit

I come with this proposal to merge Karen into the list of characters for several reasons: the character has a recurring and not an starring role in the series, and many other starring characters have already been merged. As an individual subject, Karen has not managed to prove notability outside the series, with impact in popular culture sections and coverage by a vast amount of reliable secondary sources. The fact that Kathryn Joosten won the award does not make Karen notable, but only Kathryn herself. Almost none of the recurring characters whose portrayer have won the award have individual pages such as Lana Gardner (portrayed by Jean Smart in Frasier), Lois's mother (portrayed by Cloris Leachman in Malcolm in the Middle), Amy Green (Christina Applegate in Friends), and more. Thoughts? --LoЯd ۞pεth 23:05, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I do agree with you. I would keep this page until more news about her possible spin-off. If it does not come about, then it's best to merge it, even though she does seem to be appearing more regularly. Whoniverse93 talk? 23:07, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I was considering myself to wait for the spin-off's news, but that would be WP:CRYSTALBALL. If it is confirmed that there will be one, Karen's page must certainly be kept because she would be the most important recurring character in one show and a star in another one. I think that a keep would be necessary too if Kathryn joins the main cast as regular character. However, if none of this events happen, then Karen's article is ready for trim and merge. --LoЯd ۞pεth 02:32, 30 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think that it is reasonable to wait as Whoniverse93 suggested. The merge shall wait. --LoЯd ۞pεth 05:01, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Grammar

edit

The grammar on this page is one of if not the worst in the entire Desperate Housewives category at Wikipedia. It is in serious need of a clean up by someone with the time and know-how.

WOW!

When it was mention or seen that her son was "Freddy" or/and her married name is "Bender". I know that Karen in her world is not famous so she could change surname but when it was said? More important: in which episode she said "Freddy" about her son? Michu1945 (talk) 18:40, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
