Karaite Judaism might be a type of Karaism, but Karaism is not a type of Judaism. Neither is Karaism a type of Karaite Judaism. Karaism is an Islamized branch of the ancient Nestorian Church as practiced by Turkic groups in Eastern Europe. Its articles of faith include belief in the prophet-hood of Jesus Christ and Muhammad after whose name the Karaite Hakams always say salallahu alayhi wasalam. Only the men in the Karaite clergy are circumcised. Karaite Judaism grew among the people of Baghdad who had been influenced by the non-Jewish Karaites (people of the Keryana). Does this really look like Karaite Judaism? If there is no objection I will restore this as a disambiguation page. Kaz 08:47, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
