Mass of the star

edit

The article says that Kappa Andromedae "is the star with the highest mass discovered to host an exoplanet or brown dwarf." However, Epsilon Tauri is more massive. --Artman40 (talk) 20:39, 24 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Right you are! I made an error based on a fallacy of logic on my part. The sentence has been deleted. Thank you for pointing this out! Greengreengreenred (talk) 03:46, 25 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Image

Given that it's been directly imaged, and that this fact was actually featured on the main page, the article should include a picture of Kappa Andromedae b as soon as that's practical. I don't have one at hand, myself... Wyvern (talk) 04:45, 28 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

I completely agree with you. An image of the direct image would be awesome. I know one can be found online, such as here. However, I don't know if I would be making a copyright violation by uploading that. Over the weekend, I may read up on uploading images, and then try to find one online that would be okay to be uploaded here. Of course, however, if you or anyone else can do that beforehand, that would be wonderful. Greengreengreenred 04:54, 28 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
An image of Kappa Andromedae b has been uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons recently. It is located here. However, I have no idea as to how to scale this down to a size that works for an article. If you could do that, it would be wonderful. Greengreengreenred 05:12, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the link! I've put it on the page now. Wyvern (talk) 06:20, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

New paper

edit

New research declares this object to be a brown dwarf with about 50 times more massive than Jupiter. --Artman40 (talk) 09:32, 16 September 2013 (UTC) Yet this claim is disputed in this paper. The age/mass of this object is a topic of debate at the moment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2632cgn (talkcontribs) 00:06, 23 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
