New CD: Universecity

According to the Kanye West website there is an album called "Universecity" coming out soon. I am just asking if I can edit this into the discography page as well as the main Kanye West page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Azzamination220 (talkcontribs) 22:50, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

I think there's little information for it to be added at the moment. Wikipedia is not crystall ball. Wait until more information comes out. Spellcast 23:00, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Kanye West Sales in Canada

According to Citypulse24 a Canadian news channal Kanye West's CD 'Graduation' has sold over 280,000 albums in Canada as of September 18th,2007. Does anybody have a problem with me adding that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.245.14.121 (talk) 14:37, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

XXXXXXXXXX

Please stop putting that stupid, wierd, funny looking x symbol next to his platinum certifications. It looks stupid and is completely unecessary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.211.1.12 (talk) 17:57, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

  • The one's on his page mean he went double-platinum. That's why it says 2x, its the certification the RIAA uses —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.235.5.103 (talk) 13:49, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
The multiplication sign (×) is correct. An album is "2 times platinum, not "2 ex platinum" which makes no sense. Look at any discography that's a featured list like Hilary Duff discography, James Blunt discography, Natasha Bedingfield discography, Nine Inch Nails discography, Nirvana discography, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor discography. They all use ×. Spellcast (talk) 14:02, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Graduation Album Sales

The album sales for Graduation don't look correct. I beleive he sold more than 300,000 records outside of the U.S. Duder999 (talk) 15:13, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Mixtapes

Why does it not say anyting about the official mixtapes? 82.75.153.140 (talk) 18:04, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, isn't the Freshman Adjustment (2004) official? 86.61.106.50 (talk) 18:45, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

I have added a mixtape section, and Freshment Adjustment recently. The section has been removed twice, without explanation, and i have restored it twice. I hope it sticks around. —fudoreaper (talk) 04:09, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

As featured Performer = Guest Appearances

Surely these are exactly the same thing? Seen as nearly all the songs are duplicated from list to list!

And featured in and appeared in mean exactly the same thing do they not, unless there talking about the video, which they aren't as this ain't mentioned and a lot of the songs listed don't even have videos? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.168.49.21 (talk) 22:51, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

One Question

Beyoncé Knowles' song Ego does not appers here; is banned or forgotten? Tbhotch (talk) 04:17, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Kanye's appearance on "Ego" was on a remix, so it's listed as such, but it didn't chart Top 40 (that was just the Beyonce-only version). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.164.95.161 (talk) 08:42, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Correction note from 67.164.95.161

Not sure where to type this -- and I know it's really trivial -- but in the opening paragraph about Kanye, it says that "All Falls Down" and "Jesus Walks" were Hot 100 Top 10s. While the excellent "All Falls Down" made it into the top tier on that chart, unfortunately, "Jesus Walks" peaked at No. 11 (and No. 2 R&B/Hip-Hop), though it was samples on the rapper MIMS Hot 100 No. 1 hit "This Is Why I'm Hot". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.164.95.161 (talk) 08:45, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

The College Dropout sale & certification

The College Dropout has already sold more than 3 million copies, so why is the certification in US is still 2×platinum? Thank you. (Potato76828606 (talk) 07:31, 13 August 2011 (UTC))

GOOD Fridays?

why isnt there any mention of the GOOD fridays tracks? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.80.61.206 (talk) 03:44, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

Agreed with this comment. Either they all go down as non album singles, or GOOD Fridays as a mixtape. If no further word is discussed, I'll add them myself eventually in one form or the other. Zayniac (talk) 02:49, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

Cruel Summer

Should Cruel Summer be added to this page under collaborative albums? Awall230 (talk) 22:25, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Proposal

This list is getting really long. I have a suggestion for its maintainer to create a separate list Kanye West videography list, because he has enough music videos for it. — Tomíca(T2ME) 17:03, 6 March 2013 (UTC)

Collaborative albums

Watch the Throne should be separated from the solo studio albums in put in a section for collaborative studio albums with Cruel Summer. dtf4nd (talk) 07:55, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Article split?

Splitting per WP:SIZERULE is standard across Wikipedia. With pages over 100kB being listed as "Almost certainly should divided". At 160kB, may I suggest maybe splitting this into a Discography and Videography? this page would still be 100k> and certainly wouldn't be under-sourced. Size is a factor that needs to be addressed here. KaneZolanski (talk) 15:38, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

"Jesus Is Born Out Christmas" listed at Redirects for discussion

Jesus is Born shouldn’t be considered a Kanye album

Kanye executively produced the album, and it’s his gospel choir but his voice isn’t on the album at all. If it’s on there then every album Kanye executively produced should be, and I doubt anyway thinks Common albums from 15 years ago are Kanye albums MrSunshine01 (talk) 03:01, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
