- The term "Ancient Manipur" is highly problematic to refer directly to Ancient Kangleipak because unlike the unanimous officially recognized title of the Northeast Indian state of Manipur, there was another well established famous ancient kingdom called Manipur (often referred to as "Ancient Manipur") mentioned in the world's longest written epic Mahabharata. It's a common misconception that Ancient Manipur is just the common name of Ancient Kangleipak because of the fame of the ancient eponymous kingdom mentioned in the Mahabharata. In my opinion, it's best to keep the article's title as it is to avoid readers' confusion. Haoreima (talk) 18:19, 2 March 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose per Haoreima, the other kingdom seems pretty famous, and possibly more widely known. It's possible that another title would be better, though. —Lights and freedom (talk ~ contribs) 05:37, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- Merge with History of Manipur. See also the discussion at Talk:Medieval Kangleipak#Requested move 27 February 2023, there is nothing in this barebones article that can't be served within the latter article. Gotitbro (talk) 09:06, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose Merge: Due to the existence of Manipura (Mahabharata) it is worth having a separate one, and this is more a culture based article than a history based article. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (please tag me) 22:40, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose Merge: Please keep the article name as it is because the proposed title is problematic, and will cause huge confusion. The article is sufficient to exist as an independent article on its own. It needs only a little expansion. --Haoreima (talk) 17:00, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
