Perhaps we need another category here to recognize its status as a religious object/structure? Would Category:Religious buildings or Category:Altars be OK? "Kamidana can also be found in some traditional Japanese martial art dōjō." Is this sentence necessary? They can be found in a variety of places, like sake breweries, as well. Kamidoko edit
kamidoko redirects to this page, but there's no information on this page discussing it. I'm currently reading Yamakage's "The Essence of Shinto", and regarding kamidana it says, "It can be at floor level that has three or four steps. This is call 'the Floor for Kami' (kamidoko)". This Wikipedia article makes it seem that it should never be placed floor level, but it sounds like there are exceptions to this rule.
